Carolina is a Portuguese composer. Born in Albufeira, she started her musical studies at the age of seven, having completed the Complementary Course of Piano at Conservatório Regional do Algarve, in Faro, and her Bachelor in Choir Conducting and Musical Pedagogy, at Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa.

She composes her own music since she was very young, writing from tiny minimalist piano and strings pieces to progressively “diving in” bigger musical groups, such as mixed choirs, symphonic orchestras, rock / jazz bands and electronics. While in Lisbon, she composed original music for video games and other audiovisual formats, alongside with orchestration and arrangements works. That was the moment when she realized that her passion for music in audiovisual media could not be ignored anymore.

Carolina has attended multiple workshops across Europe in Music Composition for Audiovisual Media (Film Scoring Summer Program, in Varna, Bulgaria, in 2016; Hollywood Music Workshop - Music for Video Games and Documentaries, in Baden, Austria, in 2017). Those experiences lead her to pursue a Master's Degree in Soundtrack Composition and Music for Audiovisual Media, at Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya, Barcelona, which she completed at the end of 2018.

She debuted in the world of cinema, composing the original soundtrack for the Spanish short film “En Tu Piel” (which was also the Final Project of her Master), having recorded with the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra, in Slovak Radio, in Bratislava.

Currently, she is an associate composer at Great Dane Studios and Velvet Green Music, through which she composes original music, orchestrates and creates music arrangements.
Carolina is also a music teacher and choir conductor. She has completed a Master's Degree in Music Teaching - Ear Training/Sight Reading and Choir/Ensemble Classes - through Instituto Politécnico do Porto, and has been teaching and conducting in the Algarve in the last two years.
